J’ai Faim, Je Mange — Geneva 2026
On 27 September 2026, we’ll be bringing J’ai Faim, Je Mange to Geneva.
J’ai Faim, Je Mange is a collective photographic initiative built around one simple idea: the freedom to feed our children, wherever we are and however we feed them.
Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, solids — every family and every feeding story is welcome. The project is about visibility, choice and feeding our children freely, without judgement or hierarchy.
The Geneva edition will be photographed by Karolina Słowikowska of @slowikowska.photography and Taylor Barois of @lestudiogabriel, with the support of MotherStories.
We want the morning to feel warm, relaxed and welcoming. You do not need to know how to pose or feel comfortable in front of the camera. Simply come as you are, with your child, and feed them when they are hungry.
We’ll begin by bringing all participating families together for a collective photograph, followed by a few portraits of families individually and in small groups.
Practical information
📍 Bains des Pâquis, Geneva
📅 Sunday, 27 September 2026
⏰ 10:00–12:00
💛 Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
For image-rights reasons, every person taking part must be registered before appearing in the photographs, including adults and children.
One important thing to bring
If you will be feeding your child during the event, please bring a muslin/swaddle cloth (lange) with you.
We’ll use it for a special collective photograph in which the adults feeding will cover their own heads — never the children’s — referencing the pressure parents can still feel to “hide” while feeding. This is an important part of this year’s J’ai Faim, Je Mange concept.
Other than that, there is nothing special to prepare. Come with your child and whatever you normally need to feed and care for them.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you in Geneva.
All practical information, updates and exchanges with participating families will happen through a dedicated WhatsApp group. The link will be shared after registration.
